A method of execution that has been documented to have existed 
from the 9th century BC.  A chosen method in europe for the execution
of religious criminals until about 1700. Used extensivly in the INQUISITION. 
Contrary to -popular opinion, in the americas, heritics and other religious
criminals were hanged.
